Boo hoo to the men (and itâs only men) jumping in to say sheâs promoting violence. Keep your hands to yourself and weâll keep our to ourselves. Donât andâŚ
Exactly. If itâs self-defence and non-lethal, non-maiming force, STFU.
Of course, S-ingTFU is exactly what molesters want women to do.
Actually Today did mention it in their interview but in the most dismissive way and afterwards they apologized for asking about it.
I get the timing was awkward but given all that went on at Today, it would be nice if they had given the issue justice.

My belief is that the whole induatry exists to perpetrate molestation. The fact that itâs all underage girls who are away from supervision is a feature, not a bug. That these men make money at it is not the primary reward. So I think pretending that changes could be made to the modeling industry to prevent molestation and rape is fundamentally flawed. The real industry is rape.
The whole modeling industry is just a funnel for the sex trafficking industry, which is where the real money is. The few models they can exploit successfully to sell clothes become bait for the children that they groom and separate from their parents. The predators put the girls in huge financial debt so they can control them. The ones who donât make it as models then are forced into prostitution out of shame and financial necessity. There is a haunting documentary about an agency that recruits girls from the former Soviet Union that shows it very clearly.
âCommunity serviceâ indeed.
Slightly off-topic, but the Republican governor of Misery has been indicted on revenge-porn charges.
We need to throw a few more governors into prison with him.
After all, Misery loves company.
Thatâs awful. I know everyone goes on about The Mummy, but he was outstanding in work like Gods and Monsters and The Quiet American. Iâm glad heâs getting roles again.
I love him. I felt like he was such a great actor, so handsome but willing to just go all out for humor and be a total goofball, and then he could do leading man stuff.
I am glad he is back and glad he is speaking his truth.
That entire company is a mile-deep slime pit from hell.
I actually liked the first Mummy.
He was also very good in stuff like School TiesâŚ
ThatâŚdoes not surprise me.
The call-centers Iâve worked in were hives of scum and villainy.
That was the first place Iâd heard and seen the term âWork Wife\Husbandâ and⌠well⌠most of those pairings went well beyond the usual âwork spouseâ duties. Didnât mind when it was off the clock, but when I needed to escalate a call and the supervisor was âSupervisingâ a co-worker.
Ahh, the innocence of post-Army employment.
