My husband just told me that some kid was doing 40 mph in the far left lane of a six-lane divided busy street. The speed limit is 40, but that little bike helmet that he was wearing (minors have to wear them on scooters in CA) is no protection if a car hits him. Eesh.
Also, only right lanes are sharrows in our city and state law mandates no sharrows on any road that is rated over 30 mph.
