Our Felonious Ex-President

When the Democrats get back in power, they’ll brag about putting everything “back to normal,” “looking forward not backward,” neither punishing Republican excesses nor using those same powers themselves. They’ll whine and waste time and accomplish nothing and then they’ll be out again and the R’s will resume pushing the envelope.

Thank God it’s not just me who thinks this!

I’ve had enough dealings with people who have MBAs where I have noticed the trend. Basically, if something is not working exactly like a case study from business school, it’s because it is wrong and it must be scrapped entirely and only Mr/Ms MBA Smarty Pants is qualified to fix it.

Why would he think Kathleen Turner is a member of the Klan? There’s a thing where a guy strokes your palm with his middle finger - means you wanna fuck. My guess is that was his intent.

Perhaps he does this to every white person, looking for a kindred spirit? I mean that’s what the handshake is for. Like asking for “Mr. Ayak.”

Regardless, it’s disgusting.

What are they doing with all that river water? Trying to outdo Flint? Starting an alewife fishery?

It doesn’t mean he’s a Nazi. You can’t go around calling everyone Nazis with no evidence. He could be a moderate centrist.

… They certainly avoid noticing swastikas.

According to the article, using it for air conditioning. It’s an old 1930s way of keeping tower buildings cool, but it’s caught on again because it’s supposed to be more environmentally friendly than using chemical chillers.

Recently some older buildings in Toronto switched back (since they already had the infrastructure), and yeah, there are major environmental concerns. The building has to suck the water from the coldest, deepest part of Lake Ontario in order to chill the building properly. But then the pipes which deposit the now-warmed water back in the lake go to the same cold, deep part – which might be enough to warm it and affect the lake’s ecosystem.

Then there’s the part about sucking wildlife through the pipes mentioned in the article.

Also, while the Chicago river is a big river, I have to wonder if it’s big enough and deep enough to support such a cooling system, given that Lake Ontario is a lot bigger and there were major concerns.

Gee, that photo I posted is more apt than I thought.

The only way it’d be more appropriate is if Trump were using the water to deport people.

The UN building does that too. But with permission.
