I just thought of what folks were sayin’ when Truman alla the sudden got into the White House, and some writer put in his journal somethin’ about the experiment of democracy and how great it would be if it worked out w/him bein’ President.
Will this change the minds of the agents who support him as a…whatever ever he is?
The main thing Fox/etc is harping on right now is a supposed source “close to the secret service” that claims the people who allegedly told the story of that attack are prepared to testify under oath that it didn’t happen.
Of course there are three problems with that. 1) those people already testified, 2) they didn’t initially contradict the story, and 3) the “they’re not here to hurt me” thing is FAR more damaging, so it’s a bit telling that they’re focusing on an inconsequential story that’s obviously hearsay.
I can definitively say no. I am 100% sure that the secret service still adores Trump and wishes he were president.
This seems to back you up:
Fuck that’s disturbing.
That only 48% agreed?
When I first got together with my ex-husband, he rented a room from one of the Secret Service limo drivers. The guy is mostly a mechanic - the limo is really more of a specialized tank than a car - who also drives. This person is - I don’t know how to describe him, but he is extremely reserved and I would say to a level of denial. The other Secret Service person I know, a neighbor of mine years ago, was also like this. It is VERY hard to have a job where you cannot talk about it. Because we were sort of the inner circle, and my ex had a security clearance as well, he’d tell a few stories; nothing too specific, more just little funny quirks of people he was watching. It was hard to know how true any of it was.
Anyway, the man who was strangled - possible it’s this person I know - and if he or any other Secret Service people were talking, well, it means they were really scared of Trump’s behavior. Because these people do NOT talk.
An idea he borrowed from Vlad.
And Nixon?
