The Shedd Aquarium has put out a lot of very cute videos during the pandemic. They take their penguins on field trips, for example. Their most recent one is of the sea otters getting a chance to play with snow (brought inside to their exhibit area, as outside exhibits arenāt a good idea for at least three or four months every year in Chicago). Thereās even a snowman and two snow penguins!

An odd-eyed white cat came up on a page-a-day calendar. I knew that such cats sometimes have a congenital hearing loss in one ear, but I couldnāt remember which one.
Me: Which eye is the cat deaf in?
Wife: Both.
