I think “bite” is the correct usage.

I used to watch a lot of Futurama with my best friend Jimmy. When he died, I couldn’t watch it for a long time, but his sister gave me his Futurama DVD set, when we cleaned out his house. It’s been more than 10 years, I should watch it, it’s probably funny to me again.
