That just makes us better suited to really appreciate a good neologism.
Um…
Rest in peace and power, Hulkster. For better or worse, this is the world you helped to create, and we are living in it.
I don’t think this guy is wrong of how Hogan and pro-wrestling shaped culture and society today, I’m more than a bit disappointed that he was unable to really wrestle (ahahah, get it!) with the actual harm done to society by the world we live in now and Hogan’s (and Trump’s) role in that. I think that Shives did a much better job on walking that line. This guy seems to be on the other side of that line, that the character is worth rescuing and remembering more than the person who performed as Hogan…
Also, it’s more than a bit shitty to use that term “rest in power” when it’s generally associated with the passing of Black activists. Do use that term with a known racist is really fucking awful.
There’s patriotic, victorious flag-waving. HH’s looked like he was surrendering.
Andres’s comment should be in the Brilliant Quotations topic just for being absolutely, perfectly unambiguous in all ways possible.
I entirely concur, Sugarplum.
“Horst Mahler, a founding member of the left-wing Red Army Faction…”
Later in life he became a Horst of a different colour.
That train has had a lot of riders, Mussolini, Matteo Salvini, and I’m sure a few others.
May he have the type of rebirths he richly deserves.
Bravo.
Talk about confused.
That was extra gross.
More gross than the appropriate term Rest In Piss.
I never heard of him before, and just like that he officially became my least favorite person named “James Whale.”
Must’ve dropped his “the” somewhere …
