His trucks live on - though I don’t see so many these days. Maybe I’m spending less time on the main roads and driving less in general.
So iconic, they had their own Corgi models.
I can still hear her exasperated voice whenever she spoke to Maurice Minnifield on Northern Exposure. She was a good addition as an occasional guest.
My husband met him way back in the 90s and said Ricky was a good guy. Ricky sometimes spoke in the third person, which was cute.
Ouch, that hurts. I attended many A’s games in the late 80s/early 90s back in the Bash Brothers heyday.
I always liked Ricky Henderson. He looked so small compared to his steroid boosted Bash Bros teammates, but he could hit hard and he created so much drama around whether or not he’d steal the next base. Good times.
I’m glad to hear he was a decent guy off the field as well. RIP.
Why am I posting this? Because, a long time ago, I knew her. I went to Melbourne High School. She went to MacRobertson Girl’s School: the two schools being independent boys’ and girls’ selective entry state schools, which were originally split off the one school. (Like back in the 1920s IIRC.)
We were in the respective Theatrical Stage Crews, and we worked together backstage for years. I don’t think I’d seen her once since, even though I went to RMIT while she was in the Student Union there.
She was very clear that her name was pronounced An-drey-a.
There’s something wonky with the link.
