I almost feel bad wishing for it, but then I think of the kids. Somehow I doubt that a man who views compassion and decency as some sort of mental defect makes a very loving and supportive father. I hope they manage to escape the consequences of their parents’ awful decisions.

What did he think Russia wanted him for? “Come to this wonderful country full of traditional values, and incidentally has a chronic manpower shortage for our meatgrinding campaign…but that has nothing to do with being just about the only illiberal country that asks for immigrants. No, we just think they’re neat! Why wouldn’t we value their lives so much more than our own people?”

My guess is some people have so completely bought into the idea that white Americans are the only people whose lives matter, it never even occurs to them that nationalists from other countries might not think so.
