Cock of the walk?

Dang.

But we do have this. All he needs now is a waxed-canvas field coat and a wool flat cap and he’s good to go for inspection of his domain.

And if each cat has nine lives, and this picture was taken by someone going to Saint Ives…

Such a weirdly marvelous Victorian-looking building! Do you know anything about it?

It was designed by Ernst Lodenius and built for a russian officer in 1893 and that tower is from 1901. Now I think it’s owned by the church and some times it’s some sort of a youth center.

I got a question for y’all. When you’re grocery shopping do you bag your produce or do you let it just raw dog the cart? I saw this today and it seemed nasty to me. Not seen in the pic was a thing of parsley also just laying directly on the cart.

Eww. Bag for sure!

That term…

For this specific question…

Yeah, we bag it up. Tis silly to let it rumble around the cart like that, not the least of which is that depending on the veggie, you WILL lose it if not bagged.

 I know i asked the question in a crass manner, i was just incensed over seeing fresh produce on the cart and couldn’t help myself

Here’s a very interesting ‘see it, post it’… in a certain well-known (and misattributed) curse sort of way. BTW: Leave the picture and text blurred; it’s the punchline. Control yourself. Trust me.

Two weeks ago I purchased via ebay a 1/18 scale 1973 TOYOTA CELICA LIFTBACK 2000GT diecast model from Diecast Monsters in Montebello, CA. It was advertised as being “new”. What I received was not new, it showing all the signs as having been played with, as if it was a children’s toy. Along with the scuffing and schmutz, the right end of the front bumper was detached from the body. For the sake of diplomacy in my communication with the seller, I framed the problem as probably a case of one bad model getting through AUTOart’s (the maker) quality assurance gauntlet, a brand that has given me 100% satisfaction for over 15 years. I opted for a seller-verified NEW replacement (they had several in stock), which means I gave them permission to open the model’s factory packaging, examine the model for issues without touching it, then close it back up. Simple. So, on the day I sent my defective model back, I placed an order for the same model through ebay with the same seller; no other US sellers – on ebay or otherwise – carried it. Both items had tracking. Here is where I started sweating: Tracking for both items showed the bad model ending up at the seller 7 days before the seller provided a tracking number for the replacement. Now. Go ahead. Unblur.

Yes. The “new” replacement arrived with hardened epoxy adhesive showing up at the same location where the bad model’s bumper was detached. That, along with signs of feeble attempts at fixing scuffs at the same locations as my bad model… well… what happened was obvious. Yesterday: Got a free return QR code from ebay, brought that and model to Fedex for boxing and shipment, then got verification that I was issued a refund. The End.
