So who do we elect this year?

By not mentioning the names of his two most recent predecessors, to begin with.

They’re giving AOC sixty seconds.

interesting that she cited an article that is apparently only available to subscribers.

Be sure to tune in from 9-11 PM ET on Tuesday to catch her single minute of fame.

Yup, that 2024 point is right on. They’re looking to obstruct and obfuscate for four years to run Pompeo. It’ll work because Biden and Harris won’t actually favor any reforms that help average people.

It’s out of my comfort zone, but I just filled out the form to find out more about being a poll worker.

I’ve actually thought about it for a long time because all the poll workers seem to be over 70, and struggle with the tech, but being young (comparatively) and healthy, it was time to get off my ass about it. I’m self employed, so taking the day off work won’t be a problem, and it seems like the only down side is that the polls open at 6 am, and that’s before I usually wake up.

I guess I’ll just have to see how it goes.

I’ve thought a lot about this the part few months. I’ve always liked HRC. A lot. And a lot of that comes down to the fact that I was a boyish girl in the 90s. I felt the confines of the patriarchy very early in life. And at the same time, my dad owned multiple Hillary Clinton nutcrackers. My uncles laughed at John McCain’s comments about Chelsea Clinton, who is just a few years older than I am. Regardless of whether or not I should, I always have seen a lot of myself in her.

And now I’m looking at Joe Biden, and I hate that I have to support him. Is my window shifted? Do I hesitate so much on this because I’ve seen the abject collapse of even a pretense of a liberal economic system, and I think he can’t fix it? Or do I feel this way because I don’t see myself in an old dude who is a stiff wind away from collapsing into dust?

Over the past few years, I’ve been really disappointed by HRC. The back seat presidenting. The endless rehashing. The fact that the establishment won’t learn and is running on “Get rid of Orange Badmen so we can have Normal Austerity!” Things were badly unfair for her. I don’t know how I would handle the life of public dissection she’s lived for longer than I’ve been alive. But I wish she had done something …better? with that loss.

I just want December to be here so I’ll have done the horrible thing I have to do. Joe Biden. A man who opposed birth control being covered by insurance. Truly, a man for the moment.

well, people can and do change. Biden certainly has. i saw it posted elsewhere recently and it’s true: an election is not a marriage, it’s like public transportation: you’re not looking for someone to be with for your entire life, you’re just looking for someone to get you closer to where you want to go. the candidate may not perfectly match your beliefs, but that’s ok. just aim for going in the right direction.
