Is that hair?
Well, yes, if that’s what you’d call a wig made from bleached horse tails.
Poor horses! Besides, it looked waaaay better on them than on her.
To be fair on swimmers they are always going to struggle with the condition of their hair. Pools aren’t great and all the washing too.
I don’t have a problem with Carlisle United having a chaplain (They’ve had one for years), but I do have a big problem with the Elim Community Church. I remember their hateful signs outside their church near the bus station.
True, but she could get a decent haircut.
Sadly that is not an option for me so I give people passes on that!
As a former swimmer, I agree with you. It’s not necessarily the color that bother’s me, it’s that she styles her hair to look more feminine, more GOP, possibly more evangelical-like.
Yeah, like lots of things we often don’t consider politically, there is a lot of social signaling happening around things like hair styles, make up styles, clothing choices, etc… How she dresses and styles herself speaks volumes.

Canada is hosting a small tournament as a warmup to the World Cup.
Canada won their first match against Ukraine and are moments away from their match against Cote d’Ivoire. We’ve never played them before, should be fun.
Oh, it just started…Go Canada!
ETA: Fun Fact: Canada has an Ivorian born player on the team.
Halftime update: No score yet and though they’ve had us on the back foot for most of the half we were coming on offensively at the end of it. Some adjustments will likely be made.
Also, I’m behind the times on this. This is the last game, lol. Cote d’Ivoire needs to win by two goals to win the tournament, and we have to win the game to win the tournament. Makes the tie score look a lot better all of a sudden.
Full time, still no score. I think the tie wins us the tournament.
They’re still going to penalty kicks to decide the winner of the match.
ETA: Cote d’Ivoir wins 5-4 on penalty kicks. Canada still wins the tournament.
It doesn’t mean much; the matches are regarded as “international friendlies”. But it’s still nice to win…even if you lose to do it. Things are weird in the soccer world.
