Not as such. Re-usability helps, but SpaceX is the world’s premier launch company because it is able to create demand via Starlink and has their R&D subsidised by lucrative government contracts. For, amongst other things, Starshield.

SpaceX’s Starship explodes again … while still on the ground

SpaceX has made excellent progress with its Starship rocket. The stainless steel vehicle can now explode before even leaving the Earth.

Per that article:

Out of those three claims maybe the second one could be true: based on his past behavior I can totally see Musk making a chaotic, impromptu visit the build site and insisting that they strip off all kinds of random components while having no idea what they were for.
