I could see ground squirrels teaming up with penguins because of shared grievances with their flighted cousins.
In the 90’s Vanderbilt University had a radio station - WRVU 91.1 FM - and one of the shows was Ichabod’s Haunted Mansion, the metal show. Ichabod would take calls on the air, and every week some guy would call in and say
“It’s the squirrrrells, man!”
and Ichabod would say “How did you get through again? Quit calling me!” It was quite amusing.
A couple of pictures I had posted at the other place. A baby squirrel ran up to me and we had to take care of ut for a few days until we could drop it off to a shelter.
