Hear, hear.
I remember once, when I fist moved to NY back in 2003, I was nervously riding the subway late at night. Then I looked across the aisle and saw a woman wearing a big frilly party dress, high heels and everything, and I realized how absurd I was being.
Last summer, as I was exiting a subway station, I was stopped by a tourist family. They looked prosperous and well educated. A mother, father and three kids of various ages. I guessed they might be from Lebanon. Their son, who was about 20 years old and I assume spoke the best English, stopped me to ask, “is it safe down there?” I pointed to myself, probably wearing a suit, and replied “If I am safe down there, anybody is safe.” The son smiled. I assume he understood what I was trying to say.
Basically, anyone who fears the subway is a Republican.
I’m not a huge fan of Oslo, but the more I visit, the more it grows on me. I think if I lived there and I had a boat and a car, and thus access to the Oslofjord and the surroundings, some of which are quite beautiful, it would be livable enough. Still, compared to the other Scandi capitals, Stockholm and Copenhagen, and compared to the other “big” cities in Norway, Bergen and Trondheim, it’s a bit boring.
I used to hang in Copehagen (or near to it anyway) watching dogs, drinking way too much chocolate milk and doing something else but my memory of those days is bit hazy…
No worries. Even toddlers will be able to “drive” with fully autonomous cars!
This may or may not result in the odd checkmark in the “sacrificed their lives” category, but whaddaya gonna do.
Considering how high traffic fatalities are, I think I would’ve put “kids” on the driver side
That’s covered with “their lives”.
The researcher believes that the trend favoring white and black is due to lack of education, politics, and laziness.
Or Goth.
So many terrorist attacks too. Especially against labor.

Taking pictures of homeless people isn’t cool. At least this person is unrecognizable. Still, not a good move.
London really dodged a motorway bullet. Or lots of them. Not all of them of course but enough that it has a possibility of becoming an Ultra Low Emission 15 minute city hellhole that the Nazis all worry about.
I disagree. I have an affinity for them. I was almost one once myself.
