The vast majority of Black Metal bands are not NSBM, and plenty are left leaning. The perception that the entire sub genre is Nazi is not accurate.

I mean any genre is going to have its terrible people, and NSBM has always felt like an outlier to me, but I’m not an expert.

I agree, but some of the most well known ones are (specifically Burzum). And lots of people do exactly what this person did, and ignore the lyrics to focus on the vibes. Same with some right wing oi music and some of the neofolk bands, etc… for some people, the message is unimportant, and they listen anyway… I think that’s who that article is really for. It’s a messaging that worth promoting.

that has to be my favorite concert movie, ever. the version of “Once in a Lifetime” is - to me - the best performance of that song and it always gives me feels.

I really hope Johnny Marr is able to buy it and take full control over The Smiths’ name and catalog. Seeing him last year was all the proof I needed that he can do all those songs justice on his own without Morrissey stinking up the joint.
