Good. This admission should help stop the case from collapsing

“Did any law enforcement officers suggest kidnapping the governor?” U.S. Magistrate Judge Phillip Green asked Franks during Wednesday’s hearing.

Franks replied, “No sir.”

Franks admitted in court that the kidnapping plan originated solely with him and the others charged in the conspiracy.

I was a Bluebird, but didn’t stay in as my mom didn’t like that our leader favored her own daughter over the other girls (even her other daughter). From May 2021.

Wow, that name/logo brings back memories. When I was somewhere between 8 and 12, my parents signed me up for Boy Scouts (or rather, Webelos, due to my age). That only lasted about a month.

We were making a float for a parade, which was a whole lot of using spray adhesive to stick crepe paper onto a chickenwire frame. When my mom found out what we were doing “They’re having you huff glue and they want you to have a pocketknife!?” she thought it was too dangerous. So she pulled me out of that and signed me up for Campfire Girls.

Although they allowed boys, it was technically “Camp Fire Boys and Girls” by then, it wasn’t really something anyone did. The boys all went to Boy Scouts and the girls went to Campfire Girls. Except me. So that didn’t last long either. I don’t really remember anything about it but getting the t-shirt and not wanting to go because I was the only boy there.

Nice to think that kids these days might not think the same way.

A Black undercover police officer is beaten half to death by fellow officers who mistake him for a murder suspect, then leave him without medical care when they realize what they’ve done. He spends years trying to hold his attackers accountable, staring down intimidation, overcoming a massive coverup, and refusing to be hounded out of the job he loves.

Almost three decades later, he is named to lead the force.

(I don’t know much about Cox or his policies, but on its surface it sounds like exactly the type of person needed)

Worrying ending:

For his part, Anderson says he plans to continue his crusade. “We have to keep working our way up the ladder,” he said outside the courthouse. After all, he noted: “Dobbs lost all the way to the top.”

They’re already claiming things were rigged…

But it looks like a bunch of Republican voters just did not want to vote for Palin.
