First, they order the cars for a ride. Then you can see them beat up the cars before lighting them on fire.
I think the talking heads assumed that somebody was ordering Waymos to arrive. Could it be the fed ordering them to run interference? Maybe?
I know that one of these KCAL people are reporting that ICE claims that they’re rounding up hardened criminal immigrants but are not releasing names and matching the names to actual criminal actions to anyone, including the media. I swear one dude said something to the effect that the feds have escalated this entire situation.

I find the pearl clutching over tagging to be weird, honestly. I love street art, even the stuff that’s just “I was here” kind of stuff…

OH yeah, there is literally ZERO doubt of that. this is like Mayor Daley calling out the cops in 1968 in Chicago… WTF did he expect would happen when he called out the cops to deal with protests!
Or hell, just local news outlets. They often lead with sensationalized stories about crimes inside city limits. My mother still worries about my daughter going downtown for classes. I mean, sure, crimes happen, but it’s pretty safe, actually.

The car that burned yesterday was reportedly due to being hit with a CS grenade.
I wouldn’t put it past ICE to do that. During the Portland BLM protests, anything the federales burned was blamed on protesters. I bet you dollars to donuts they are also aiming rubber bullets and CS grenades at protesters’ heads. That was a staple of the 2020 protests here.

TBH, I was expecting this kind of response next weekend. After all the negative news about Elno, the Big Billionaire Bill, TACO jokes going viral, bad economic numbers, and two deportees returned to the US… 
has to be desperate for distractions to feed his base. Casting protests as riots and immigrants as criminals will probably be what the regime attempts to keep in the headlines for the rest of the month.
Stacey Abrams and her guests recently discussed pronatalism, eugenics, and replacement theories popular with members of the regime. Their desire to extend control over women to include who gets to give birth (in general, as well as in the US).

I really hope that’s true, but it sort of depends on a critical mass of people deciding that he’s gone too far, and I’m not holding my breath- they’re the ones who got him elected in the first place, after all. This is exactly what they wanted.

I was seeing images and videos yesterday of burning landscaping that had been set on fire by DHS/police grenades - it seemed to be incidental to launching them at people. I suspect, if they set cars on fire, it probably wasn’t deliberate (but it was convenient for them).
I was watching footage of an Australian reporter (with camera crew, so a pretty obvious journo, even from a distance) in an area where nothing was happening. In the back, a police line, where you could see a couple cops pointing out the reporter, then aiming and firing at her. Hit her in the legs, though, not the head. (Unlike reporters shot in the face during the BLM protests, one of whom is finally succumbing to her traumatic brain injury.)
