Without more details I wouldnât assume that anyone ordered them at all. Waymos often roam the streets empty, especially in downtown areas, and donât have the good sense that most human drivers do to avoid areas where a lot of shit is going down. A couple weeks ago I was in S.F. and saw many empty Waymos, sometimes 3 in a row, driving through crowded touristy spots. I would guess maybe thatâs because Waymo doesnât want to (or canât) pay for their cars to park at meters downtown or in many lots, so we all suffer the extra road congestion as a result.
