What do you mean? He’s clearly recording video on his phone…
(It’s weird that, based on reports I’m reading/video I’m seeing, cops are specifically targeting people with cameras/recording on phones, when a) it’s still going to get recorded by someone, somewhere, and b) they act with total impunity during protests and never get in trouble, even when the crimes are completely documented. Look at all the blatantly illegal behavior by cops during the BLM protests - there should have been a whole lot of prosecutions of cops, and there weren’t.)
Also, based on reports of Waymo behavior in SF, they’d end up traveling to certain areas in sometimes rather large groups naturally, due to preferred routes.
I mean, there are always police/FBI agitators in left-wing protest groups, consistently, so it’s always a safe assumption. (The NYPD alone has been caught getting involved in groups across the US.) But there were so many agitators/false flag attempts during BLM that got exposed. I recollect a few cops getting outed before they did anything, but who knows how many went undetected. Then there’s the right-wing group impersonations - during BLM, white nationalist groups like “Identity Evropa” were impersonating Antifa groups online (and in person), and white supremacists were using protests as cover for arson and terrorism (e.g. Bugaloo Bois).
It very well could be agitators, too. I wouldn’t put it past the Feds to hire thugs to do this shit. The police were very hands off with this very small group of 20-ish people on the overpass. It was truly bizarre.
But I can’t discount that LA County residents are extremely angry about ICE and some are showing it. I also can’t discount that some LA County residents can be opportunistic during displays of civil disobedience.
D.C. Bar CEO Robert Spagnoletti announced the results on Monday after a race which the group said drew a record 38,600 ballots, up from 7,500 in the last election. Seltzer secured more than 90 percent of the vote, Spagnoletti said.
Certainly more lines drawn. all Democratic governors (lacking Newsom who is front and center) have signed a statement telling trump to back down - at least in terms of national guard and military
Essentially every Democratic governor in the country signed onto a statement on Monday slamming President Donald Trump for unilaterally deploying the National Guard in California to try to squash protests against his immigration raids.
In the statement, 22 Democratic governors—every one in the nation, excluding California’s Gavin Newsom, who is also fighting the deployment in his state—called the move “an alarming abuse of power.”
“Governors are the Commanders in Chief of their National Guard and the federal government activating them in their own borders without consulting or working with a state’s governor is ineffective and dangerous,” the governors wrote. “Further, threatening to send the U.S. Marines into American neighborhoods undermines the mission of our service members, erodes public trust, and shows the Trump administration does not trust local law enforcement." …
One could really wish -some- of the Republican governors would declare they don’t want a military attack on their people …but then they’re betting that they’re safe; so to hell with constitutional law. @#!!
Queue the news reports spending a week of coverage reminding us that Biden is old and bringing on rightoid panelists to explain why he’s literally dead right now and a shadow government is running things.
Trump almost faceplants and it’s all “hey remember how old Biden was?”.
That’s very good news. I know Devin Stone of Legal Eagle posted a video awhile back asking members of the DC Bar to not vote for him. I have no idea if that plea had any impact, but I’m glad he lost in any event.
