So as a gift to the government it requires congressional approval, and as a gift to the president as an individual it requires congressional approval. I’m assuming that, should it be approved, they’d have to specify whether they’re accepting it as a gift to the government or for Trump himself?
Certainly no one in Trump’s orbit, that he’d be aware of, would be remotely qualified. Which is part of why Trump’s whole anti-DEI crusade is a really excellent argument for DEI. If DEI is qualified women/people of color in positions, and not-DEI is wildly unqualified white dudes that Trump knows replacing them, it makes it pretty obvious why DEI is there, and why we need it.

I know from up close and personal experience that no one goes for a MLS with the intent of earning the big bucks. It’s a thing you do only because you wish to be a benefit to your community, so no, I can’t even remotely imagine a trump supporter finishing one.

The new refugee program for South Africans, which the State Department says is for any racial minority in the country, has exacerbated tensions between the United States and South Africa. The South African government has rejected the Trump administration’s claim that the Afrikaners should be eligible for refugee status.
Three decades after the end of apartheid, white South Africans continue to dominate land ownership. They are also employed at much higher rates than Black South Africans and suffer from poverty at much lower rates.
“It is most regrettable that it appears that the resettlement of South Africans to the United States under the guise of being ‘refugees’ is entirely politically motivated and designed to question South Africa’s constitutional democracy,” Chrispin Phiri, a spokesman for South Africa’s Foreign Ministry, said in a statement.
