Apparently the pitch for the show dates back to the Obama administration (by someone who, I think, is an immigrant themselves), and was a focus on the positive aspects/journey of becoming a citizen. (Iâm not sure exactly how that was supposed to work, butâŚ) This being the Trump administration, you know theyâd not agree to anything that wasnât about the cruelty, however.
Someone pointed out that a few of the loudest voices on the right being âupsetâ about the image did, themselves, post â86 46â messages. (Also there was apparent a bunch of merch with that message, being sold by right-wingers.)

That was my first thought as well. Seems like a perfect TikTok challenge. Why set your school Chromebook on fire, when you can use it to learn the meaning and history of effigy, and then apply that knowledge for temporary f(l)ame?

Iâm not encouraging they be set alight.
Itâs just a safety concern given that Trump always buys things that arenât made in America from places that may not follow safety standards.
