I saw an article about him and they interviewed his father, mentioning that his father hadn’t “spoken to his 25-year-old son in more than a decade…” So I’m going to go out on a limb and say that odds are extremely good that it was a negative childhood.
The potential to create wealth through trade is unlimited, except when anyone does make money selling things to the US, that means they’re taking advantage and need to be hit with ChatGPT-determined tariffs.
President Trump’s immigration crackdown has brought mass deportations, detentions without trial and family separations, bringing legal, humanitarian and moral repercussions
It’s true - ICE aren’t the Gestapo. The Gestapo showed their faces, after all.
When you have masked kidnappers who claim to be federal agents but won’t show a badge or even identify what agency they’re supposedly with, it would be extremely reasonable for there to be regular assaults on these agents. The numbers are bullshit though, as they’re threatening to prosecute people for assault for simply standing in front of (supposed) ICE agents.
Yeah, less than a month ago, they were claiming a “300% increase.” They can’t admit they went from 8 bullshit cases of “assault” to 24 and then 33 bullshit cases during a massive crackdown on random people that involved a number of videoed instances of pushing around and arresting bystanders (and needing a justification for it). Especially when they’re also bragging about having arrested almost 70,000 people during Trump’s first 100 days.
8 cases last year, 1 conviction. Yeah, total bullshit. Cops are infamous for tacking on bogus “assault” charges, and it looks like ICE is finally following suit (I suppose they were previously restrained as it didn’t make much sense for immigration cases to add that on, but now it has propaganda value, and increasingly the cops themselves are involved and filing charges). Yet they still can’t come up with justifications for the charges in more than one in several thousands arrests… What this indicates is that people aren’t fighting back against these kidnappings, many of which aren’t legal.
The Trail of Tears, Bataan Death March, etc.
Honestly, it says a lot about how uneven gun rights in America are that nobody from these masked gangs has gotten shot during one of their surprise attacks.
“And I’m going to use that bill for myself, too, if you don’t mind,” he said. “There’s nobody who gets treated worse than I do online. Nobody.”
I really hate that man.
Some people fear it can be used to curb opposition…
Yeah it would sure be nice to think that a well-intentioned bill that passed the House 409-2, and passed the Senate by unanimous consent, is a good thing. But listening to an interview with an EFF guy on the radio earlier today I got to hear about all the depressing ways that this law is probably going to be abused. Especially the part about effectively banning private encrypted conversations that may have nothing to do with abusive images. Dang.
Does this mean Marge will federally charged for distributing pictures of Hunter Biden’s penis?
I hope I can predict a deluge - a tsunami - of returned Nobel prizes if Trump ever gets one. I wonder if even the Nobel Committee would risk putting the prize in such disrepute. But then … they gave one to Kissinger.
Also it rather puts the lie to the assertion that ICE are (only) picking up dangerous criminals. Dangerous criminals who just meekly go along with masked strangers jumping out and grabbing them? Sure…
I don’t know if in the United States the law can be retroactive to something that happened before it was enacted. But nothing can really be permanently erased from the Internet. Maybe His organ is still running around and Mr. Biden can demand compensation.
It’s often been said but it turns out it’s dramatically not true. I feel like right now half the internet’s remaining history is only what archive.org scooped up.
Nope.
Article 1, Section 9 of the Constitution:
No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.
He absolutely didn’t write any of that.
