The goddamn Trump Administration

Is what really a thing? Chemical castration of minors? No, that’s not a thing. I suppose HRT could be considered chemical castration, but HRT is exceedingly rare in minors. Puberty blockers are prescribed for minor trans children, but those are in no way, shape, or form chemical castration. Such blockers are also given to cis children who have premature puberty.

But it doesn’t matter. Trump doesn’t actually care about this issue one way or another. It’s just a convenient way to keep the MAGA cult on his side, because he can easily convince them that it’s a thing that is really happening. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that he’s doing this at the same time as he’s freezing loans, grants, and other funding, as well as just obliterating all federal departments, many of which provide significant aid in one form or another to those same MAGA cultists.

Ted Cruz is many things, but he is not dumb. At all. He really is highly intelligent and highly educated. He knows exactly what he’s doing, and who it will hurt, and all of it is intentional. Generally, the rule of thumb is “never ascribe to malice that which ignorance sufficiently explains”. But Ted Cruz is not ignorant. He really isn’t. He’s not Tommy Tuberville. With Cruz, malice is always the explanation.

And this press secretary uses what all the trump nominees have been taught to use: “That’s a hypothetical question…” so for that reason they won’t answer it. If you think on it, any question concerning what will be done in the future in response to anything is a hypothetical. i’d blatantly assert that two thirds of the typical questions asked at any press meeting may be considered hypotheticals. They really should stop letting them dodge questions with that. -sigh-

I was hurling a juvenile and very crass insult out to the ether to try and vent some frustration. Turns out it didn’t work, but I’ll probably try it again at some point anyway. Maybe I’ll get lucky.

I understand that Cruz is educated and that he is calculated with the harm he inflicts. I still think he’s dumb. It’s dumb to not try and figure out empathy. Even if everyone he cares about now is somehow spared from his actions (and they won’t be), he is guaranteed to hurt his descendants. It’s dumb. And full of malice.

During his first stint at OPM, Kloster simultaneously held a position at the Trump White House’s Presidential Personnel Office during a period when this office was reportedly administering loyalty tests to Trump’s own political appointees.

Axios has previously reported that, in that White House role, Kloster “spent hours, sometimes over multiple days, conducting interviews and designing methodology to identify ‘someone who’s not on the team.’”

Not that his other character defects aren’t seen as an asset to this administration.

I know it’s bad, but I so want someone to punch him, and then use the defense “Boxing is legal. The only difference between battery and boxing is consent”

Or for him to try that shit on a woman who’s an MMA fighter.

And reflect on his opinions from a hospital room for several months.

Humans pretty much have remained the same when it comes to being arrogant, greedy, hateful, petty, et al. (or is that etc.)

I mean, that’s why I refer to ancient times, but not just G & R; there’s China and the indigenous peoples of the New World.

My reply yesterday:

I don’t know what I can do. But I can see a few such thresholds:

  1. If they criminalize anti-fascism.
  2. If the courts allow them to revoke birthright citizenship.
  3. If they ban birth control, or ban hrt for adults, at the federal level. Of course they’ve already started that at the state level.
  4. If they ban masks. Wearing masks allows us to protect our own and each others lives, health, and privacy. That’s especially important with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Trump admin, and any coming Bird Flu pandemic.

And today:

Well, there they go on #3.

I’m just waiting for “Antifa” to be officially listed as a terrorist organisation, and that will be #1 ticked off.

Banning masks is also already underway at the state level. They’re starting with banning “mask mandates” and making the wearing of a mask an aggravating factor in other crimes (including, I’m sure, things like “resisting arrest”).
