Listening now… a few things, one of the reporters calls the Gaza plan what it is… ethnic cleansing… good. Trump called Hamas “bullies” and that “bullies are weak”… hmmmm… he compared the condition of the freed hostages to holocaust victims, and I have to think that’s a line put in his mind by Bibi, and that was intentional.
Ensign King Abdullah tried to push back, but clearly Trump dominated the presser and rarely answered questions clearly. But apparently they, the Egyptians, and others are getting together in Saudi Arabia to firm up a plan to offer to Trump… I’m guessing it’ll be a counter-proposal to the ethnic cleansing plan.

Just got off the phone with Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-N.M.), who said Elon Musk’s DOGE team is “actively dismantling” federal Department of Education programs today.
“They are in the building, on the 6th floor, canceling grants and contracts.”
Stansbury says her understanding is the Trump admin “has been running drills for the last couple of weeks, planning for this.”

I just checked; eggs run from about $5.70 to $10.00 (for premium large, free range chickens) in Toronto, in U.S. bucks. What are they there, right now. We get pretty much all of our eggs from Canada.

I don’t know what they’ll put on the table, but it won’t include ethnic cleansing Gaza, I’d wager. El-Sisi has made it crystal clear that the doesn’t want Hamas on his doorstep, for historically grounded reasons (the connections to the brotherhood)… Same with Ensign King Abdullah, too, again, given the history of the PLO in Jordan. But his wife is Palestinian, too.
But at this point, these regimes are the only ones who are trying to counter this plan, so, we’ll see.
