I can’t imagine that anyone who has been in the military could be so completely ignorant of how wars are actually won (logistics, i.e. by the strength of their, well, bureaucracies), so I assume this is just playing to the stupid, ignorant base, but either way, it’s some big loser energy there. He’s screaming to the world, “The next military conflict the US will be involved in, will be a disaster for us.” I suppose that’s the reoccurring theme of Trumpism - projecting weakness to the world to impress ignorant dipshit MAGAts who think it’s strength.

The Wikipedia list of the commission members shows their birth/death years, and it’s suddenly hilarious in this context, because they’re not just all dead, almost all of them died (long) before Luna was even born. “Died 51 years ago, died 54 years ago, died 34 years ago, died 53 years ago… oh - Ford lived until 2006! I forgot that!.. died 56 years ago…” The commission members were all in their 50s, 60s, 70s at the time. The commission’s assistant counsel had a bunch of young people, a few of which are still alive, but they’re all in their 90s.
This is very much the level of knowledge (and research) I’ve come to expect from MAGAts on every possible subject. Especially the whole “I will unveil the truth about this thing I know absolutely nothing about, and clearly have given zero thought to!” attitude.
