The only joy I have in these pictures is seeing that RFK Jr looks increasingly annoyed. He was in for the grift, got almost everything he wanted, and is finding out that the leader of the grift is, at best, three days out from starting in a sequel of Weekend at Bernie’s, and orders are constantly spit out by a Steve Jobs wannabe in a baseball cap.

It is a very simple thing that is complicated by multiple years of technical debt. I’ve made a few passes at getting the site into a more manageable state, but the reality of it has been resistant to my attempts. I’m still working on it, but my time for it has been limited.

I think one of the hallmarks of conservative thought is that they do not think in systems, only in individual cases. That explains the obsession with rugged individualism, the refusal to acknowledge phenomena such as structural racism or toxic masculinity and the inability to admit that anything can have structural issues and therefore that solutions must be structural as well. This is just another example of exactly that. An isolated incident. Some pilot or air traffic controller’s fault, not a systemic failure.
