Last week, “The President’s Own” quietly canceled a concert program originally billed as the “Equity Arc Wind Symphony.” The performance was to be the culmination of a “multi-day music intensive with musicians from ‘The President’s Own’” and high school musician fellows selected through auditions organized by the Chicago-based Equity Arc, a nonprofit organization that provides “specialized mentoring support for young BIPOC musicians and helps institutions take meaningful steps toward equity and inclusion.”
A spokesperson for the Marines confirmed in an email Tuesday afternoon that “the Marine Band’s participation in this event was canceled in accordance with recent Executive Orders.”
He thinks that commercial pilots use visual flight rules? Landing, take off, and taxiing is handled by air traffic control, which is completely understaffed.
Would qualify that as “modern conservative movement.” The conservatives of the 50s and 60s understood that well enough — they participated in creating the modern systems that underpinned American prosperity for many decades.
Modern Conservatives, however, have been tainted by incoherent racism, misogyny, and LGTBQ±phobia. Because systems benefit people they hate, they’d rather burn everything to the ground and think they can live a modern life without all the complex systems supporting them.
Huh? I wonder if Wayne is on board with the attention.
What a weird statement about this friend wanting to make him happy.
Wayne Gretzky is a fantastic guy! They call him, “The Great One,” and he is. He could run for any political office in Canada, and win. Wayne is my friend, and he wants to make me happy, and is therefore somewhat “low key” about Canada remaining a separate Country, rather than becoming a cherished and beautiful 51st State, paying much Lower Taxes, a Free and Powerful Military, NO TARIFFS, and having a Booming Economy. Wayne and Janet, his wonderful wife, love Canada, and they should only support Canada, and whatever else makes the Canadian People, and Governor Justin Trudeau, happy. He’s the Greatest Canadian of them all, and I am therefore making him a “free agent,” because I don’t want anyone in Canada to say anything bad about him. He supports Canada the way it is, as he should, even though it’s not nearly as good as it could be as part of the Greatest and Most Powerful Country in the World, the Good Ole’ U.S.A.!
I’d have no problem at all with Wayne Gretzky meeting Trump, bringing along a trusty old hickory stick, and demonstrating its many, many uses up close and personal.
