This is what convinced me to finally delete my TikTok account today. I didn’t find my corner of TikTok bad. It was mostly queer content creators. But I’ve made a decision not to use any platform that aligns with fascists. The downside is I’ve run out of sources for short video content, having abandoned Meta as well. I have no interest in Rednote as a loud-about-it queer person.
I hope this gives other platforms, preferably not American ones in countries with reasonable political systems, to take off.

A couple of weeks ago, I told a new acquaintance that I was going to the People’s March to lend my voice to democracy, gender identity and reproductive rights.
She responded, “my body, my choice, and I shouldn’t have to get a vaccine if I don’t want one!” 
I didn’t say anything at the time, and hope not to have to discuss vaccines with her again, because I suck at arguments and have a tendency to just get upset and start yelling at someone being stoopid!
But, seriously, “my body, my choice” doesn’t apply to vaccines! Yes, they’re making a choice for their body, but they’re also making a choice for my body, and for other bodies I love and respect (and some I don’t) that we certainly didn’t ask for!
If your choice can kill other people, I’m sorry, you need to get with the program.
How do I say that without making an enemy? Or do I just say nothing, as I did this time?

If your decision endangers them, then you are perfectly justified in being excluded from situations where your decision could harm them. You are perfectly within your rights to drink, even to excess, but not to do so and get behind the wheel of a car. This is no different”
This almost never works, but it occasionally gives them something to think about.

If you have to have the conversation, don’t bite your tongue.
Make it plain; say just that:
Your choice could cause lots other of people to get sick and/or die, while the choice to abort a pregnancy only affects two people, (potentially three.)
If that makes her an ‘enemy,’ she was never a good candidate to be your friend, or even an acquaintance.

Yeah, I’ve kind of been obsessing over this all day. Straight up fascist aversion to facts. If he can’t manipulate them, he will just make sure they never see the light of day. And he will replace them with whatever verbal diarrhea spills from his pie hole. MAGA hates science, facts, and education more than it hates LGBT. And has targeted them for elimination just the same. So fucking incredible that enough of us support tis shit…

Oh, that would make my decision for me right there. If you’re touching my body I need you to be up to date on your vaccines! (I perfectly understand that there are legitimately people that can’t get various vaccines due to allergies, in which case I’m going to protect both of us by putting them on my “no” list.)
