This guy is all over the place. I expected “Purge” Democrats from office and military, masculinity good, settle the Ukrainian war. But then he complains about the greed of the 1%, rampant income inequality, how it’s a disgrace our country cannot do more for people without homes.
Unsurprisingly, he just doesn’t get that electing Trump is the exact opposite of “We must move on from the culture of weakness and self enrichment perpetuated by our senior political and military leaders.”
So the guy kills himself in a giant dramatic fiery tantrum… over Democrats having too much power. After Trump won and his side is going to get whatever it wants, possibly including the end of democracy itself. There truly is no end to the right’s entitlement. They could be sitting on a golden throne having the people they hate so much dragged before them by fascist thugs and they’d still self-identity as persecuted victims.
He and his ilk are keen to create a one party state. It’s straight fascist thinking here. Anything that doesn’t agree with them 100% is evil and must be violently eliminated. They absolutely see it as an existential struggle of good v. evil, and democrats are evil.
You know that gif illustrating the pile of cookies metaphor (“hey, that immigrant over there is trying to steal your cookies!”) This guy is one of those that realizes he has less cookies, but believes the rich dude when he points to the immigrant.
As a veteran, I can’t begin to express how frustrating it is to me when it’s so damn easy to see the correlation between Republicans and slashes to funding for VA hospitals, homeless veteran programs, and other post-service aid, yet there are still a lot of vets, especially older ones, that think the Republicans support veterans because R’s say they do.
From the document images in the link: “… is a felony for which the authorize term of imprisonment is life imprisonment without eligibility for probation, parole, conditional release, or release except by act of the governor or the natural death of such person.”
First of all, well fuck, I’m glad they’re saying they’ll let the person go if they die. Apparently even Republicans won’t resort to necromancy just yet.
Far more seriously, link this to the provision in the 13th amendment that outlines legal conditions for slavery. Yeah, I think I see how the GOP plans to placate farmers and other industries that are suddenly realizing they are going to lose that work force they’re criminally underpaying. Look for the “Prisoners For Rent” signs coming to a local prison near you real soon.
