Hey, it worked for the Greeks!
That article was more interesting than I anticipated.
I try not to link duds!
I assumed it was going to be another one of those “how does the GOP suddenly have all these violent racists?!!!?!?!?!!?” type of articles.
Jeff Sessions?
What does Kushner say?
From the Daily Beast. Let me know if it’s one of those “Beast insider” things with a paywall
Holy crap the nazi wing is really still going for it.
The question investigators should ask is what are their backers doing, apart from the Mercers, which is pretty well documented at this point. Cut off their money and the infrastructure to keep their fantasy going will collapse, once it has to compete with actual thought rather than having so much public space purchased for them.
Investigate the amount of money gifted to these idiots on the basis of ideology.
Indeed they are. In my state, HB-86 was introduced, to “repeal the prohibition on armed civilian groups”, specifically armed civilians in military uniforms as described:
“[n]o organization, society, club, post, order, league or other combination of persons, or civil group, or any members thereof, are authorized to assume any semblance of military organization or character by bearing or possessing rifles, pistols, sabres, clubs,or
military weapons of any kind, or wearing a military uniform of any kind.”
That’s what they wanted to repeal.
That was quickly followed by HB-86-FN, a voter suppression act:
I. Eliminates election day voter registration and enacts provisions of the National Voter Registration Act.
II. Requires that a voter be registered as a member of a party prior to the date of the primary in order to be eligible to vote in that party’s primary.
III. Requires that students enrolled in New Hampshire institutions of learning who wish to register to vote using their address at such institutions attest to the fact that they have qualified for in-state tuition in order to register to vote.
That was last week. Yes, they are really still going for it.
To play devil’s advocate and say it’s just pure chance that both of those just happened to come up immediately in the week after a failed coup - well, let’s face it, the devil isn’t that stupid. But some of our lawmakers are.
“As governor, I will defend our right to be free of socialism and tyranny, your Second Amendment right to keep your family safe and your freedom of speech and religious liberty,” she said. “Our state needs a leader with the courage to do what’s right, not what’s politically correct or convenient.”
What an asshole.
“As your governor, I aim to inconvenience you.”
“Nazification” or the “Stupidest Thing I Ever Heard.” I report, you decide.
Biden is trying to “radically change the nature of the country”, said conservative commentator Ben Shapiro. He warned listeners about a coming “dictatorship”, one that could be orchestrated through his presidential orders.
Shapiro took aim at the president’s push for racial equity, and a decision to revoke an order, signed by Trump, that prohibited federal funding for workplace training that urges employees to acknowledge concepts like white supremacy and white privilege.
Shapiro described the workshops as “pathetic struggle sessions in which you are called before some sort of human resources, quote, unquote, expert”, and then told you have to learn how not to use offensive language.
What timeline are we in? Dershowitz nominates Kushner for a Nobel Peace Prize.
“Yeah, uh, nobody cares.”
ETA: everyone understands I’m quoting Beau, right? I’m not saying we don’t care!
