The Nazification of America

To be fair, Bikers For Trump is a lot easier to pronounce than Nočnyje Volki.

You have to give the Nazis points for a sense of irony.

If only Danielle Outlaw and Ted Wheeler and Kate Brown thought it was important to “do everything they can” to “create a hostile environment” for Nazis

He’s not. Someone brought that up in the twitter thread, and a closer shot of the tat shows it’s very unlikely not to be a kiss tattoo. Here is the close up:

Sadly, that’s not at all satire

Dude’s correct, but being a snide dick about it won’t make anyone listen to him.

But are bakers legally obligated to make Nazi wedding cakes?

I was pondering on something similar this weekend.

Growing up in NW Montana, it always seemed to be a very “Live and Let Live” place. But since the turn of the century, I was struck by the open racism I saw when I’d be back visiting the folks.

Then I got to thinking about it, and I’m pretty sure it was there all along, there just wasn’t any racial “others” to direct it at. In the two decades I lived in my little valley, I had one classmate that was Asian in appearance, one girl that probably had a black grandparent and a handful of Native Americans. Otherwise, we were a pretty pasty bunch.

The Native Americans were the butt end of a lot of jokes, and the reservations were generally seen as ghettos, but the big elephant you would hear about on the news - racism against blacks - wasn’t evident, because there were none around. I know the lack of “minorities” in the NW led to an influx of White Nationalists in the nineties and aughts and I’m sure that exacerbated the underlying issues. But really, I think they have been there all along.

My father would crack jokes against various nationalities (Especially the Italians) but I never remember any racial slurs or jokes. Mom admitted once or twice she had to work at not being racist (as her mother definitely was) and harbored something against “the South” in general.

All in all, I think I managed to come out OK, but I know several friends from way back have become the Fox News watching casual racists. I hope everyone else I lost track of in the great exodus is more tolerant than the few folks I’ve managed to run into over the years

More on that biker for Trump dude with the SS tat:

So, Trump DID hang with these guys, he did not tweet that picture of the Biker for Trump with the SS tat. But people with SS tats support Trump…

Here is the Snopes on it:

That’s like $100,000 for each person who showed up.

First, that’s gotta be some kind of record.

Second, bill each of those bastards for $100,000 each.

No. Because if it’s legal to bill Nazis $100,000, it’ll be legal for the cops to rack up the most extreme bills, and bill people the government doesn’t like $10,000,000 each to cover tear gas and hundreds of new helicopters to drop it…
