Attention seeking. Forget the others.
My daughter went back to school today and brought the boys with her.
This one got one last snuggle before departure.
Love Siamese cats they’re so cute
AW…
Mr. Feral still wasn’t 100%, he’s eating, drinking, no obvious pain, and trying to steal food from our plate.
But his walking was getting really disturbing.
Turns out he’s diabetic and needs insulin shots twice a day.
Not our first diabetic cat rodeo so we’re familiar with the whole process but we could have done without it.
We think the walking may get better once we get the diabetes under control but how freaky is this.
He’s back in his private room for a couple days so we can watch him better.
Such a handsome chap! I do hope all will be well!
We ran out of greens at home. Because it’s the DC area, anytime the weather dips below freezing for a few days (or it snows) it’s like the freaking apocalypse and there’s a run on the stores — food, TP, etc. The greens at the local store were all sad and wilted. Wasn’t going to give the buck nasty greens.
Today I was finally able to get some nice kale. He was so happy he was chirping with joy. Tried to get a video, but he’s camera shy.
Out of 13 ferals that showed up before Christmas at our daughter’s apartment complex there are 7 left.
I posted a while back that she found homes for the others back then.
She’s been trying to find homes and the push is on because of below zero weather.
She got a local rescue to take 3, a woman to take 2, and she’s working on a shelter in Toledo 70 miles away to take the last two.
But they have to catch them.
Her husband went out and got a rotisserie chicken because cats can’t resist it in the traps.
Is he big?
Oh yes, he’s a chonker.
So he is indeed the Big Lebowski of legend, that the old tales speak of.
He’s very handsome.
He was named for his deep abiding abilities. He’s especially chill.
Although he has peed on his own rug.
