Bunana!
Just look at it edition!
Went to play with the resident kitties at the local book store here in Myrtle Beach.
When I first found this store and kitties, the kitties had no toys, but since then someone bought them this cute thing!
They are Midnight and Caramel. Both real sweeties.
Things are going well.
This is Mrs. Feral and Mr. Feral. He is actually her real life baby. He’s six and she’s nine. She had him before we had a chance to get her spayed. My wife says they know, I’m not sure but they are getting along.
Mrs. Seizure kitty wants no part of it but she does sit outside the door and watches them.
Start of this week we had noticed a pretty young black and white stray cat we hadn’t seen before. We put food out for it and we were pretty sure it was using the shed of the neighbor behind us to take shelter in. Same shed our cat used when he went missing.
Anyways the cat seemed friendly enough to stick around unless you walked toward it. But it would come out for food so we had been feeding it as often as we could. My partner took her cat out today on a leash and the kitty seemed to really like our cat. Our cat seemingly hated the kitten but thankfully the kitten was smitten and distracted enough that my partner was able to dip in and grab it.
Cat has been catnapped. We’re gonna try to contact Austin Pets Alive tomorrow and hope they’re taking strays. Barring that I hope to at least take it to a vet and foster it until we can find a home for it.
If any of the Austin folks here know anyone looking to adopt a really sweet kitty let me know. It’s super friendly
Posting this in the pets thread because wild or commercial poultry never get old enough for this: older female chickens and ducks go through “henopause”
After that clusterfuck of a “press conference” I thought we could all use a pet-sitting update. @OWYAC check out who I’m back spending time with!
I may have somehow broken her

Getting bolshy and reminding me her dinner’s at 6pm. It was 5.56.
Nup, I dunno either

Not entirely sure but she seems pretty relaxed

Awww; sweet girl! Boone spends a lot of time sleeping on his back too.
I really want to brush midnight
Ooh, a brush! That’s what I’ll bring next time. She would love it.
Dogs only do that when they feel totally safe.
Yeah, I think he feels really safe and happy here.
We had a library cat at my first full-time job, until a member of the public complained, and then he went home with our custodian, who was his caregiver anyway.
She has to get two syringes of oral medicine twice a day.
She knows when it’s time and tries to hide, some days are easier than others to find her.
Bitey Cat Blue sympathizes. She takes 5mg of fluoxetine (Prozac) once a day, and if I miss the late afternoon time when she’s waking up from afternoon snoozes but not fully awake and hangry, I go straight to the towel burrito. She hates it, but it’s better (for both of us) than the wrestling match without it.
It must have a strong bad taste because grinding the pill to powder and hiding it in extra yummy treats like Churu or canned cat food doesn’t work.
Biscuit gets thyroid meds twice a day. Fortunately he very elderly and can’t give up much of a fight. I got along giving it to him in Churu for about a year, but he just started spitting it out a few months ago, so pill gun it is.
