Bert is a Sooooopermodel.
Because itās not YOUR face, itās HER (or his) faceā¦
I think I got his brother from ebay.
Old post, and Iām glad to see your dog is doing better. One thing Iāve found is that Dasuquin supplements work really well to provide some relief.
My vet recommended this both as a therapeutic supplement for my now departed senior kitties when they started getting creaky, as well as preventative supplement for my young kitties (as one has had knee surgery because of a luxating patella, and the other walks a little cow-hocked).
Iām generally not a believer in supplements - a lot of woo in most cases, but in my experience this ājoint lubeā works really well. I saw a noticeable improvement in my senior cats after a couple of weeks. It comes in different forms ā I sprinkle a pill on my catsā food every day but it also comes in treat form.
It may be worth a try? (If your vet thinks this may be a good idea, buy from Amazon or Chewy to avoid the almost certain huge markup. It doesnāt require a prescription.)
Thanks ā our cat Sonatina (17+ yrs) is stiff with arthritis and doesnāt do much. Weāll have to try this!
iām going to try to remember this for our kitties when they get a little olderā¦ or maybe it doesnāt matter what age they start taking it, since itās a supplement?
I donāt see any issue with this but Iām not a veterinarian so donāt take my word for it. Iād say ask your vet about it next time you bring your cats in for a check up.
yeah, thatās the safest bet. iāll keep it in mind. thanks!
These look really cool, Iām sure my kitties would love one.
But, what they would love best about it, is the opportunity to remove and shred every single one of those leaves and provide an enormous mess.
My son in the winter of 1989/1990, and Isis, whose momma lived with my brother. I remember when she was a teeny kitten, she grabbed my hand and proceeded to wash it; when I tried to move, she gave me a deadly stare and dug her little needle-claws into my hand. Natch, I waited till she was done.
Yeah, this. And given my catsā desire to ingest everything they arenāt supposed to Iāll have to give one of these a pass even though I know they would totally love them.

Putting this over here so as not to sidetrack the Covid-19 threadā¦ thanks, @CleverEmi and @kxkvi for the concern.
Weāve been worried because my cat suddenly started having an issue with grooming, she got a bunch of mats before we caught it and cut them out. We then suspected sheās started losing weight, so off to vet visits.
Long story short, got the results today and sheās tested positive for feline leukemia. Sheās definitely losing weight, though not certain on the cause. She didnāt have a lot to start with, and in two weeks since starting thyroid medication and a round of antibiotics she dropped from 4 pounds to 3.7.
Sheās been with me a long timeā¦ just coming up on about 20 years. Making sure she gets all the care we can while weāre stuck at the house all day. If we can get the weight loss under control Iām hopeful itāll help, but sheās always tended to just nibble food at completely random times so thatās tough.
What a beauty still. Both our older cats suffer from mats, and combing them out is not to their liking. Dyson doesnāt mind so much, but Sonatina yells if we donāt comb her correctly (i.e., āthose are MY personal mats!ā).
omg, sheās so pretty. best wishes to you. twenty years old is quite an achievement!
cute : )
What a pretty little friend. There is never a good time for old friends to get sick, but this is an especially bad time for ill heath in the ones we rely on for comfort.
Iām so sorry. Take care of yourself and everyone with you.
Also posted this somewhere else, but I thought youād enjoy it. Our dog refusing to go on another walk today.
The backstory is that sheās got ten people walking her and I wasnāt paying attention. She walked something like 30 km on Monday and 20 km yesterday. New house rule is if you walk her, you log it, and no more than 5 km per day.
