Ouch. Got my arm shredded from giving my cat tummy rubs.

Not because it was a trap, it most certainly wasn’t, but incredibly violent biscuits. Might be time to trim.

It’s always a trap

This is true. The only variables are the delay and how far up the damage setting is

Not with this girl. She asks for rubs a lot and any injury is fully accidental. I don’t remember the last time it was a trap.

ETA:
The last time it was a “trap”, she flopped down and ran away when I reached to scritch her. Flopped out of reach a few steps away. Rinse, repeat. “Say, now that we’re by the pantry, can I have a treat”?

He jumped on top of the grandfather clock chasing some flying thing I accidentally let inside

Yeah, it is a good thing you are so cute

The other kitten is hidden behind the non-specific winter holiday cactus. Taken 30 seconds after he stuck his paws up inside the the (turned off) mini split :grimacing:

No wants medzin!

Update:

Poop is almost back to normal, light brown hay colored, urinating more regularly. Boy, was it stinky yesterday. I think whatever was stuck in him is coming out.

He’s also been PO’d at me: he jumped up and peed on my bed the night before last. Thanks, kids, for teaching him he can go up there. :confounded:

Looks like he is getting better, he’s now avoiding me because medicine. (Which he likes because it is sweet, but doesn’t like how I have to give it to him). He lost 25% of his body weight. He’ll need a lot of hay to get that back.

Your pup is adorable as always but I’m stuck on those trees in the background. They look mangled! Is this like crepe murder but for some other kind of tree?

I kinda get it. Crepe Myrtles can get pretty tall, and pollarding them won’t typically kill them. But boy do they look ugly as hell when they are. I have two in my front yard, and i like them but they are pretty messy trees. We’ve talked about chopping down at least one of them but i do like the shade it provides and whatever we replace it with is not going to be able to shade the front of the house for a long while.

Uhhh… right. This is the Pets thread.

Sycamores. Pollarded heavily every few years.
Fun aside: If you could see over the wall into the garden where those trees are, you would see a train set.
Not just any train set - the tracks are like girders two feet apart and a fully-working steam train with carriages you can sit on comes out of an oversized shed and potters found the garden. It’s gorgeous, and the local kids get invited round there in the summer.
If I ever catch it in action, I’ll try to snap a pic or two.

Exactly that.
A DPD. (Dog Poo Depository).

ETA: I had to stand at a very particular angle to take this pic - I’m standing on a neighbour’s allotment.

Please do! Love to see it.

Excuse me. Sir. SIR. Why have we been deprived of delightful train pics?

The guy who owns the train is a retired carpenter and amateur engineer who’s mad on trains.
The engine is currently in the shop, hopefully to be fixed in time for next summer.
I know, I’m as impatient as you to see it once again.

Must be some other form of sycamore than what I see in the Midwest of the U.S.A. Here are ours:

Right, must post a pet chaser…

She’s up to 4.5 pounds now!
