I’m so sorry to hear this. Losing a pet is so hard.
oh no, i’m so sorry. my condolences.
Our young grey cat over the weekend was puking, i had been keeping an eye on him but overall he seemed normal. This morning he didn’t want to eat and our roommate tells us he’s been sleeping a lot today (still not entirely unusual though the lack of appetite was). Hoping he’s doing ok, will see if i can take him to the vet either later today or tomorrow depending on how he seems to be doing.
So, pro tip for turning a small, overfed dog into a lightning bolt:
Knock yourself up a chicken mayo sandwich.

That’s the sound of small dog racing up the stairs to be near the chicken.

Sound of small dog mooching down the stairs having polished off a plate of crumbs and chick-bits.
I posted an update in the crypto thread but i figured i’d post it here. My kitty is ok, still waiting to hear the final word from the radiologist to be 100% certain but with the info the vet has so far they think he’s got an upset digestive system due to eating different foods recently, or possibly eating something off the floor he shouldn’t have.
He’s got some “bland” canned food and some probiotics, he ate a 1/3rd of the can so that’s great. Wish i could’ve stayed home to watch him and see if he continues throwing up or not but i get stuff to do. I’ll just do a visual sweep when i get home and hope he’s kept it down.
The visit cost me more than i wanted to spend but ultimately if something was wrong with him and i did nothing i would never forgive myself. Money well spent, and he does have pet insurance… i just have never used it so not sure how much this visit will be covered. For now i’ve liquidated some crypto i had.

Need to look good in public
Spent a couple hours in a local nature center; it was his first outdoor adventure since he got sick. He doesn’t walk as much as meander. I can let him off the leash, he doesn’t run away, though he often doesn’t stick too close by.
He was a hit with the visitors, and remarkably well behaved (usually he isn’t keen to get pets from strangers). He actually wanted to go home before I did.
nature center edition!
I named one of the male kittens we have Bigwig after the character in “Watership Down”. He did have a little tuft on his crown when he was a teeny kitten, but not now. However, he’s BIG and is sort of a Lenny to my son being George.
He and his sissy, Pandora, who’s using him for a pillow.
He and his sissy, Tuxedo.
This evening my daughter gave me a hug, touched my hair, then exclaimed “your hair is as soft as the bunny’s!”
So, I guess my conditioner is doing it’s job?
Or maybe it’s the bunny’s?
She’s looking so much healthier!
