I really need to snag a quick vid of Logan grooming his tail, it’s…a process.
Ravus acts like her tail is both fully sentient and independently mobile. There is wrestling when she cleans it. She isn’t chasing it and sometimes it wins!
Nimbus still likes to chase his tail. Especially if he can wedge himself into a narrow space. I hope he never grows out of it
What Ravus does sounds very much like what Logan does! It not his fault the rascally tail is more than a foot long, he does what he needs to, but it’s unintentionally hilarious to watch.
Ravus’s tail is also over a foot. I forget it’s so long because of the curl
Does Logan look deeply offended if you laugh while he’s dealing with his disobedient tail the way Ravus does? She has quite the deathly side-eye
So we’re back from the vet, who confirmed that Roo has lost her right eye, and will require surgery to remove what remains. Her left eye is still intact, and seems to be working well enough so she will keep it. Her weight is up from last week and she’s not quite as anemic as she was. She’s now eating regular kitten food on her own, and she’s worked the litter box out as well.
She’s still got the URI but her condition is greatly improved.
Poor baby, but no matter what i hope they’ll recover quickly
No, he gives me the “wut? I’m not doing anything weird over here” look.
My spouse got this ridiculously cool new tent. it’s huge. He set it up in the backyard for the first time and I took Nimbus for a look. He seemed to enjoy himself, though he trotted back over to me about every 30 seconds. Maybe afraid I’d disappear?
i am surprised Nimbus didn’t try to climb the mosquito net door! little shreds, all the way up.
once had a cat, a manx named Miss Inclined, that would camp with me. she would travel with me to mountain bike races in PNW and hang out in my tent while i was out on the course. she was an awesome camper! she liked sitting with me by by a fire and sleeping in my sleeping bag. very uncat-like, that Miss!
Strangely, Nimbus isn’t much of a cloth climber. I’m thankful! He does love to be high. I need to find some very sturdy cat shelves that can be screwed into wall studs
Our little Manx had a very traumatic start outside in the Metro, she does not like to go outside, though she enjoys watching the world through the windows, safely inside, where there are ceilings.
We have not attempted camping in 10 years because of course the one time we try, there were severe thunderstorms and funnel clouds. Mr. Kidd won’t even look in the general direction of tents to this day.
She’s been drinking water now, not much but better than nothing. But she’s too weak to make it to the litter box, and I might have to move it into the living room. She’s on the marble bay-window seat; I bet the cold of the marble feels good on the right side of her face. Her eye is scabbing over, but still nothing that looks infected.
Now she’s on an end-table I made by putting a curved lap-board on top of two draward turned up right on their sides. Out of the frame to the left is the marble bay-window seat.
Walked in on love fest! (Yes, it makes no sense the boulder bean bag is on the couch. The kid did it)
He’s still nekkid. New collar should arrive tomorrow
She’s gone. It happened around 8:30 a.m. EST.
If anyone donated to the GoFundMe that my son set up, please be assured that your funds will be used to neuter and spay the teenage kittens, and maybe even Gramma or Mom if we can get them into a carrier without us ending up like we lost a fight with Wolverine.
My son wailed over it, rightly so. I’m numb right now. I was expecting it, but didn’t know when.
I’m so sorry
I’m so very sorry.
Oh, Lucy I’m so sorry. That’s terrible news…
I’m so sorry for you and your son’s loss.
