Tammy Duckworth, too? WTH?
Maybe they think that’s what their big donors want to hear. You know, the people who actually matter (thanks to the Citizens United decision).
Far right extremists, inspired by Trump per Whitmer herself, tried to kidnap her. Trump himself later suggested it was a fake plot and mocked it. He called her ‘that woman in Michigan’ and led a crowd that chanted ‘lock her up.’
Today Whitmer hugged him on the tarmac.
This is why Dems lose.

Also after he used her as a photo op prop in the Oval Office. With Sen. Peters supporting just about every cabinet pick, Sen. Slotkin scolding Dems for saying “oligarch” too much, and now this, Michigan Democrats are a disappointing bunch.
I said something similar about Gavin Newsom greeting Trump, shaking his hand, and thanking him when Trump went to California for a visit after the LA fires, and people (not here) told me “He’s putting the people of California first. What’s he supposed to do?” A lot of people are just not getting it. The only explanation is that they still don’t believe Trump is an actual fascist. They still think all of this is just normal politics. We are so fucked if more people don’t wake the fuck up.
It feels like the whole world has forgotten there’s a tomorrow. Bowing down gets you more than standing up at the moment, so that’s what someone who cares about people should do, and never mind what that means about next time.
I’m not even convinced that bowing down now gets you anything.
So much for not supporting any more, he’s voted for the latest.
What was it Beau always said? “They don’t want to represent, they want to rule.” Appears the GQP does not have a monopoly on that.
To give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they’re afraid they won’t be let in again after a trip abroad?
Or be thrown into CECOT and have T**** say, “Oh, well. There’s nothing we can do about that.”
That was a very real risk for the Dem representatives who went there earlier.
Any source for that other than WE? Anything they publish is greater than 51% likely to be a lie. It’s the US political equivalent of linking the Daily Mail.
I know. Andy Kim is disappointing me. I thought he’d be better than that.
