Thank you. Now that they don’t have Biden to attack, The Hill is more reliable.
As for the content, OFFS! C’mon. Yes, of course Senate Republicans aren’t going to vote to convict. There are signs that a handful of House Republicans would consider it, knowing that it won’t lead to conviction. But just because it’s a doomed effort doesn’t mean you don’t file articles. Make them go on record blocking impeachment. In the unlikely case that a couple GOP reps peel off and support impeachment, then you get to run a trial in the Senate and make public all the ways he’s violated his oath. But the value of impeachment is to make Republicans OWN T****’s malfeasance.
Part of the reason I think the admin is pushing Executive Orders is to keep some of the stink off of Republican legislators. Impeachment smears T****’s stink all over them.
(excerpt) "The Fetterman story is troubling—not just because of chaotic staff allegations, but because someone clearly still struggling with their mental health shouldn’t be in such a high-stakes role. The only solution is political: Fetterman should resign,” wrote Rotimi Adeoye, a Philadelphia-based Democratic operative
Interesting to see how Faux News reacts to that one. Mental health. High-stakes role. So shouldn’t Trump…?
Especially since there’s no reason to give in to T****’s idiocy on this one. I read that the film industry is specifically excluded from the emergency tariff powers in the law T**** is using as a shitty veneer for wrecking the economy.
He’s a DINO from what I’ve read. He comes from a business/tech background and he used to be an Art Laffer disciple in the 90s. The article also mentioned that Polis wanted legislative input from CO business leaders/lobbyists before the bill was voted on.
