I don’t think that Mr. Peanutbutter would make a better or more effective elected official than Schiff, but it’s depressing that I had to think about it for a moment.

I would rather see legislation to ban political gerrymandering, but that’s not going to happen anytime soon. Fighting fire with fire might be the only option for now.
That’s what I"m wondering about… yes, he’s not wrong that putting forward a better platform and getting the message out is a key strategy (see Zohran Mamdani). And the fact that the GOP controls more legislatures is a problem in a gerrymandering arms race…
OTOH- sometimes you do fight a fire with fire. And the larger geography of the Republicans may not equal more districts.
