They make food appear on the dinner table and laundry disappear from the bedroom floor.
oh wow… a letter… we’re saved!!! /s
Yeah, he’s been slipping since this new administration, and has already announced he won’t run again.
To be fair, he is old enough that I’m pleased he’s setting the example of stepping down so someone under 70 can take over, and he has done a lot of good while in office, but this is the time to go for broke, not give up.
A very stiff letter. On cardboard. And he mailed it, too!
the problem with letting democrats backslide their support of trans rights whether it be trans in sports or using bathrooms is we’ve seen “compromise” in the UK labor party. they gave into “reasonable” TERF demands and it destroyed the labor party and all rights for trans people
Remember, when looking for reasons for his dramatic change, he suffered a stroke and brain damage then became conservative.
I’m not saying you have to be brain damaged to be a Republican, but apparently it helps.
With very stern R.S.V.P. to boot.
Democratic senators with the most votes with Trump this session so far:

WTAF… The whole political class in this stupid country can get fucked.
I don’t recall getting any emails from the PACs or other orgs named therein - & I don’t believe anything from or about the Democratic Party has ever bothered me via text (& it’s been a long time via phone). That said, I am feeling the same way (perhaps wrongly, perhaps not?) about ActBlue, which seems to be the actual recipient of any funds that I’d give, via almost every desperate email I’ve received lately.
Anything asking me to answer a poll or sign a petition ultimately leads to a solicitation for money.
& I get that it takes money to run these things, but petitions? It’s free to just send my name to /dev/null which, I’m afraid, is just as effective.
So my trust was already wearing thin before I read this article, but if I give up on sending any money where it might actually be effective/of benefit, well that seems by design, as well.
If I don’t have any answers nor better ideas, I also believe that (most if not all) the desperate emails are neither.
This is a bit like something from a Ross Thomas novel.
