lol. I was working on that! I typed up the post on my work desktop, but had to upload the pictures from my phone.
Theyâre awesome! thanks for sharing.
Great shirt and very pretty art!
I cannot begin to recommend seeing âIâm Your Venusâ enough, as well as itsâ predecessor Paris is Burning.

Plus ONE HUNDRED BILLION.
Sounds⊠suspect. The lack of transparency is concerning as well, especially with money involved.
I doubt much in the way of monetary malfeasance just because the amounts are so tiny compared to the budget for the entire community center. And the organization is in a financial crisis and is selling their building- none of which happened under the new leader. But has much to do with Fetterman and Casey voting to remove federal funding from a million dollar grant to bring the building up to code.
I wouldnât doubt other sorts of politics involved and the new ED trying to put their people in place. And perhaps some ageism- both of the volunteer leaders are seniors.
Today is International Nonbinary Peopleâs Day⊠which began as more or less a joke on a blog, that it should be halfway between International Womenâs Day (March 8) and International Menâs Day (November 19).
But by that reasoning, one could also put it on Jan 12.
Of course, a lot of enbies donât think of themselves as âhalfway betweenâ but rather off-axis. So I propose the more appropriate date of February 29 30.
While I donât mind the idea, I definitely donât think of myself as âhalfwayâ between anything. (Iâm also pansexual and have had to patiently explain that no, this doesnât not mean âhalf gayâ or whatever.) I do usually present more feminine, so Iâll often refer to myself as a nonbinary trans fem, but thatâs still not a halfway point, it is itâs own location!
Yay, happy non-binary day! Whenever you decide ti should be celebrated!
Itâs squeaky flutes and Gheorghe Zamfir Cosplay, isnât it.
There isnât even an axis. Itâs all a cloud. Still, representation is nice, so I think having a Nonbinary Peopleâs Day is great. But yeah, maybe just pick a day rather than defining it relative to the gender binary, which feels a little off point, so to speak.
Halloween would be good. Or maybe in recognition of genderfluid folks it should be a different day each year
I really wish I could find an online copy of Zamfirâs Evil Twin by Sponge Awareness Foundation right now.
I just found out, thereâs a âBig Enby Indie Book Bundleâ thing going onâŠ
Today is the 10th Anniversary of the passing of the Gender Recognition Act. This is still one of the most progressive pieces of legislation regarding gender recognition in the world. Ireland was one of the first places to legally allow people to self declare their gender identity! We are indebted to Lydia Foy for her tireless campaign, which was the basis for this legislation. We also thank the former TENI staff and board for their incredible work on behalf of the community.
We will be holding events to celebrate and push forward this legislation in September, so watch this space!
