🇺🇦 The War in Ukraine

Throwing inexperienced troops against battle hardened, experienced and innovative forces; who could have predicted this outcome? (that’s sarcasm, btw)

Neither the n korean “gov’t” nor russia thinks of them as people. It’s disgusting and horrifying in equal parts.

Yep; they were intended as cannon fodder.

Exactly.

My reccos just featured a 3-wk-old vid from the same chap, which said on the thumbnail, “putin’s pissed!” and a couple other things, including “n korean soldiers don’t know how to throw grenades.”

I’m not watching that.

Yeah, I don’t watch videos of people dying.

I don’t have any idea what he’s put in it, I just know I don’t wanna see it. I don’t want to hear about how fucked this is.

I don’t object to this sort of thing:
idiot
but like you, I’m not at all interested in any roman coliseum videos.

I’m looking for a cat pic in my tumblr instead. It’s going onto Unicorn Chasers once I find it.

ETA: Found it; duly posted.

I will look for your unicorn chaser.

Alas, unicorns are extinct in Ukraine.

If this video is real then the “shot down” hypothesis is looking quite probable. Those holes were made from above the side by something moving fast enough to deform the metal and leave the paint behind. It’s not from the rods packed into AA missiles, but sure does look like flak damage.

Edit: That’s the vertical stabilizer… oops.

There are plenty of good reasons to assume it was shot down in a mistake by some Russian air defense goon at Grozny. Certainly, there’s never any reason to believe Russians saying it wasn’t them.

Another question few people are asking - can Russia face another year of war?

People have been asking the question (should it be can Putin face another year?), the conclusion seems to be that both are relying on external powers to maintain their positions and that reduction in either could/would turn the tide.
