I don’t get why it took so long.

after a five-year deal expired

They attacked you. WTF were you doing honoring any of that shit?

I’m guessing the people helping them would have had issues

I suppose this is part of the answer – not upsetting the neighbours who are providing support.

On Tuesday night (shortly before I as well as the whole neighborhood around the movie theater had to evacuate from a huge fire) I saw a special screening of the documentary Porcelain War, which was a very well-done, intimate portrait of a couple of Ukrainian artists who are fighting the war by day and making whimsical porcelain art by night. They had a small dog that really stole the show.

After the screening the makers and subjects of the film were there for a Q&A session. (Including the awesome dog) The film won at Sundance and the Ukrainian government decided that it was worth it to send these guys out for a few months to promote the film, even though the guy is a member of Ukrainian Special Forces.

So I highly recommend it, if you get a chance to watch:

Not sure how publishing photos protects them from public curiosity, but still.
