This is a meme about people who once were supported by US and then became some kind of Bond vilains.

Ok

They were bad people all along. But now Mr Trump said that Mr. Zelenski is a corrupt dictator like Mr Hussein.

I disagree and hope that Mr. Zelensky does not suffer the same fate as the others in this meme did.

That’s more or less what I was WTAFing about.

It seems to be saying that by moving from being America’s ally to being America’s enemy, that this puts Zelinskyy in the same category as bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, and implies that this is something to do with who Zelenskyy is, instead of what it says about who Trump is.

Like, it strongly seems to implying that Zelenskyy is revealed to have been a monster all along, just like the others all were.

Which is buying into Trump’s and Putin’s propaganda line. Fuck that noise.

I see. It could be read as Rússia and MAGA propaganda too. Nobody is immune to propaganda, but I wont buy the Idea He was a Wolf in sheep skin.

You are right. If the “peace” talks wouldn’t successful, perhaps he will simply be sidelined, but if somehow none of this comes to fruition, he may be recast as an enemy of the people.

I still find the meme interesting, as it allows for more than one interpretation.

Unfortunately, propaganda is a powerful thing, especially when it is something the receiver wants to hear. Some people were thrilled by this nonsense that we have always been at war with Eastasia. Even left-wing people on social media thought that Mr. Putin was a progressive politician who was fighting against imperialism.

Overnight, Russia launched 267 attack drones against Ukraine, a “record” number, according to Ukraine’s Air Force Command.

Among them, 138 were intercepted by air defence while 119 disappeared from radars after being jammed and did not cause any damage.

Drones were intercepted in at least 13 regions including Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv and Odesa, according to Ukrainian authorities.

Zelensky says he is willing to give up presidency for peace or Nato membership
Zelensky is asked what assurances he needs from US President Donald Trump and whether he is happy to “give up” being president of Ukraine in exchange for peace.

He answers: “Yes, I am happy, if it is for the peace of Ukraine.”

“If you need me to leave this chair, I am ready to do that, and I also can exchange it for Nato membership for Ukraine.”

Zelensky says he is focused on Ukraine’s security now, not in 20 years’ time, adding that it is not his “dream” to remain president for decades.

Hmm. Weird question I think, sad he was even asked it.

Interesting to see this bit of propa-what-the-hell?! seemingly acknowledges bin Laden was once a US asset. Not a thing I am accustomed to seeing the conservative crowd acknowledge.

They don’t know much about US foreign policy…

I think it’s just highlighting the non-productive habits of US foreign policy.
