I’d wager the upside-down guy is a Nuthatch.
Yeah, we get those too… they sound like little squeeze-bulb horns
Aaah-WOOOO-gaaahhhh ?!
Not wild per se, but wildly adorable. This is one of my barn cats curling up in the cold with his adopted Cochin family.
All of them or just the ones that went to clown college?
I think they all did
Some kind of Cardinalidae? (Judging from the red portions)
Oh no. It is a common waxbill. These little birds were very common in the 1970s and 1980s in Rio, from what I remember from my childhood, but for some reason they disappeared from the vacant lots, squares and parks where they eat grass seeds. It looks like they are now starting a comeback.
Well shit.
Tis but true. They’re something far better than people.
I’m thinking of that line from Dumbo.
“Elephants don’t get hurt.”
“Nah, they’re made out of rubber!”
Those flowers are as wonderful as the tiny bird!
HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!?!?!?!
(Yes, complete sentence)
That is an amazing photograph!
Standing still in the middle of the parking lot. It is a little awkward. People pass me by and say “Bom dia” and I just nod. I also have this zoom lens, it make these shots possible.
Muito obrigado. Thanks.
It is s small tree, at about 3 meters tall. These flowers open their petals very early in the morning and hummingbirds take the opportunity to feed before the sun makes them to close.
