I like the guy in the first video telling everyone that this is how Canadians should react to threats (feels like it was a comment about fucking Dump).

From what I understand, a parrot landed high up in a tree and started swearing at people. The fire department was called and was embarrassed by the bird’s dirty beak. The owner suggested offering cigarettes to the aggressive parrot, which accepted the tobacco and could be rescued. The Fire Department stressed that it does not usually get involved in operations of this type, but since it was in the area, it decided to help. The firefighters did not expect the barrage of insults and the delay in completing the mission.

New batch of eggs in the cardinal nest.

The parents cleaned all the poop away from the first batch of babies too. What’s odd is that they aren’t speckled blue, which cardinal eggs are supposed to be, and I’ve only seen the cardinal pair flitting about where the nest is

Per All About Birds it looks like the eggs are only speckled some of the time, and can also be greyish or buffy white.

Thanks for that link!

The site says that “Cardinals usually don’t use their nests more than once,” so I apparently have some thrifty cardinals!

(That was a whole lotta poop that they cleaned off. )

Maybe these are archbishops, not cardinals.
