Sure; they’re refrigerated.
Also what are the considerations for a “better product”? Something could be made better but have a higher cost elsewhere, where it could be more wasteful or harmful, or it could be exploiting the community or the labor that made the thing. But then again these things are exactly the Republican platform.
Canadian products better than American ones?
Medical care, environmental protections, politicians, national laws regarding use and possession of cannabis, maple syrup, and especially with recent changes to FDA laws here in the USA, milk and dairy products. Please note “better” does not mean perfect, but I’ll stand by all of these being being better in Canada.
If that’s the plan, it’s going to be a spectacular failure. People who don’t do farm work don’t realize just how much strength and skill is required to do the jobs. A bunch of random addicts (who are mostly not young and are likely to have other health issues) isn’t remotely an effective replacement workforce.
Which probably means it is the plan, because nothing quite typifies Trumpism like ill-conceived plans based on ignorance that are doomed to messy, cruel failure.
That happened to me. A friend of my family died of brain cancer and I sent in a check to the hospital memorial fund set up on his behalf. He was a dentist, but his late father was a surgeon at the hospital, his mom was the head of the nursing department at the local CC, and his brother is an oncologist at the hospital.
My husband received the Thank You note and continued to receive the hospital update newsletter for like 20 years.
The kicker? My mom was the president of the hospital board of directors at the time (on the the board for over 20 years—they even named an educational wing of the hospital).
I hate to sound like a broken record, but this experiment was done in GA in 2012 (IIRC) and failed miserably. Bussed in the unemployed, brought in prisoners, nobody could do the work and the agriculture sector crashed. I see no reason to repeat it on a larger scale, with even bigger consequences when we know how it turns out. But, since that would require acknowledging facts, yeah, I can see exactly why they would do it.
Vermont might have a bone to pick with you!
Because clearly I need more rage in my life today.
So, arrest him, then!!!1!!!
I’ll bet they don’t arrest him.
To be fair, I’m diabetic so haven’t actually had real maple syrup of any kind in over 30 years.
Okay, so Canada certainly has better poutine then the USA! (Yes, I like it.)
The Trump administration is powered by total ignorance, but at the same time I feel like the existence of solid evidence that demonstrates that their plan will fail just makes it even more likely that they will do it. It’s like they’ve got a particular checklist, where they make sure the results will be cruel, that no one involved has any knowledge of the subject, but also that they did speak to someone who was an expert and that expert told them it wouldn’t work (and they stopped listening at that point, so they don’t know why it won’t work). Can’t let “the elites” (people with actual knowledge on subjects) inform policy!
Fuck the NFL
Any players out there who are still brave enough to take a knee? Or make an even more direct gesture? I have my doubts.
It would be inpiring.
Will you assholes fucking shut up and get out of the damn way? These collaborators need to shut up and never be called strategists again.
