The child was then transported to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for further treatment. Medical records show the child “sustained a gunshot wound to his right orbital socket and an exit wound on the left frontal area of his head,” a criminal complaint states.

At that point denying it was from a gun just flies in the face of probability. When 80% of the objects in sight within your house are unsecured guns, it was probably a goddamn gun. I’m struggling to think of anything I own 32 of (other than books and teeth, and the latter are pretty well secured).
